S.W.O.T Analysis Project

During my Principles of Management class at Biola, we were asked to prepare a S.W.O.T analysis and a presentation for a fortune 500 company. The company my group choose to research was Nucor, a steel company. We found out Nucor's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats, and we recommended some ideas based on our findings. We then summarized this information into a slide show and presented it to our class. I chose to bring up this project because, my group members and I spent a lot of time focusing on this project and it was something I can say I am proud of. I learned a lot about Nucor in general, its history, and how its leaders are trying to improve the company today. Skills that I learned during this project were strategies on how to organize information and communication.  If I could do this project differently, I would practice my presenting skills in order to improve them.

For my Introduction to Marketing: Practical Application class we were asked to chose a specific industry and 2 specific competitors in that industry to research. I chose the cosmetic industry and my two competitors were Sephora and Ulta. We received our information through websites, articles, professional interviews, and customer interviews. With the information gathered, I found areas of dissatisfaction, created strategies to improve satisfaction, and implemented them into a potential business in the industry. Check out my research paper and reflection video on the cosmetic industry.

Target Market Project

Marketing Research

After three months of hard work, I’ve completed a 96-page marketing research report in collaboration with J. Ensemble Boutique, a local clothing store in Seal Beach. We gathered valuable insights to help the boutique grow and better connect with its customers. Our research included 31 customer interviews, a focus group, 69 survey responses, and analysis of 8 websites and 5 articles. The findings revealed key customer preferences and areas for improvement, emphasizing the importance of engaging with customers, actively listening to their feedback, and using those insights to strengthen relationships and drive growth.
